In the photo lab, I experiment with the photogram,
a technique that allows me to create an image without a camera by exposing objects on photosensitive paper.
I then embark on a quest for dreamlike imagery and reconnect with my aesthetic tools, common to my practice as well as to scenography and photography:
transparency, diaphaneity, etherealness, immateriality, shadow, symmetry.
I also experiment with fashion through sketches of silhouettes, exploiting the opportunity offered by the photogram to juxtapose elements.
Modagramma is a hybrid word I invented to describe my attempts at fashion silhouette sketches through photograms (modagrammas).
Modagramma, from the Italian "moda" meaning "fashion" and "-gramma," the Greek suffix indicating a relation to a graphic representation, a mode of writing, or a drawing.
